'Tis the Season for Love and Spirit

Noble November-->November brings new and exciting events: left over candy from Halloween, Daylight savings ends, new moon and solar eclipse in the same day, lovely skies, and Thanksgiving!
A great snack or lunch meal--> almond butter and an apple

Yummy cake almost finished!

Gallivanting sunset this November evening.

In November the weather cools down, things seem to slow down. The middle of November brings about new experiences and thoughts. As the seasons change and people are growing, we sometimes go along with the hustle and bustle of the chaos and forget to slow down our minds. There holidays arrive for a reason. They encourage us to stop what we are doing fro day to day and begin to think of what matters, family, togetherness, and helping one another.

For Lunch a quick and very nutritious fix would be some walnuts and an apple. Soak the walnuts overnight and put them in the oven for 5-10 minutes so they could dry up and then they are crunchy! (Soaking them cleans and removes any dirt that could be in them)

Happy Thanksgiving! This year we made some homemade foods, including turkey, potato salad, and beet salad :)

For Thanksgiving dessert there is always something yummy to think of, isn't there! Here is some warm coffee (decaf) and some additional treats (marshmallow covered chocolate and Tvorag with raisins covered in chocolate).

Chilly Weather

Borscht is a great wintery food as it warms up your body. A traditional Russian classic, these following ingredients are my favorites for a tasty and simple lunch or dinner:

-celery, carrots, potatoes, salt, onions, beets, tomatoes, vegetable stock, dill, red cabbage.

- Serve hot or cold, with an added tablespoon of sour cream

Playing a fun game of scrabble with the girls. This game among others are great for your brain, as it makes you think and keeps you on your toes!

A yummy dinner with string beans, broccoli, ketchup, a bit of olive oil, a piece of muenster cheese, and a scallion!

A delicious recipe of raisins, carrots, cheese, and garlic.

Springtime Sublime

Spring time brings out the hungry squirrels. These guys are running to us and standing tall looking for any good they can get. Next time we are bringing some crackers!

Below the squirrels I added a nice healthy creation of egg with mashed potato picture. Tasty and fulfilling!

Here are all of the weather reports and we have had some dramatic increases and decreases in weather patterns!

Time for some chocolate cake with a white looking flower in the center! Oh the sweet tooth people get excited. Inside you have some luscious marshmallow, chocolate waffles, and cream. It's great with a hot steaming cup of tea. "No need to add sugar as cake is all the needed sugar (quote from my grandpa)"

The springtime in June is warm and sunny. Here are the yummy homemade chicken cutlets that smell spicy fresh. ( for a great extra flavor try adding turmerica dash of sea salt, oregano, onion, and eggs, along with the the white meat itself)

Remember, organic is best and healthiest*

The sky is clear and bright blue. You can see the pinkish sunset merge together with the clouds and sky, beautiful! The ocean is a prominent blue color, getting warmer with the weather and sun as well.

Generally when we feel stressed out, let's take some time to just look up at the sky, part of the beauty of the world around us. We can learn to appreciate it in all it's glory. Let's find that center within us and through the nature surrounding us, merge with it, and gain clarity and peace. 🙏

Healthy Breakfast

I made a nice little breakfast semi-healthy for a weekends fun, consisting of a mixed berry salad with sour cream, 2 cooked eggs, a sliced cucumber, and bread with butter. Enjoy!
