Happy Wednesday! We are in the beginning of September and that means that Fall is just around the corner. Still, this heat is prevalent among us and a nice smoothie just might calm us down at least a tad. Sometimes you are in the mood for a berry fruity kind of smoothie (I know I am!), while other
times you just want that potent-taste-filled-with-lots-of-greens-smoothie to essentially offer you a kick start to your day.
Today's smoothie is a vegetable based one. I know a lot of people are vegan or try to eat a minimal amount of animal products for health or morality purposes. Whatever the reason may be, here is a fabulously tasty smoothie to get you going on a weekday (or weekend) morning. Here is the simple recipe:
Very Veggie Vegan Smoothie
Serves 1
- 1/2 tomato
- 1-2 stalks of celery
- 1 handful spinach
- 1 clove garlic (strong taste yet effective for energy)
- 1/4 cup of water (you could use more or less depending on your preferred consistency of the smoothie. If you want a thick based smoothie use less water but if you want a thin based one, use more.)
Blend up all your ingredients in a blender and serve :)
