A Very Veggie Vegan Smoothie!

Hi Lovely,

Happy Wednesday! We are in the beginning of September and that means that Fall is just around the corner. Still, this heat is prevalent among us and a nice smoothie just might calm us down at least a tad. Sometimes you are in the mood for a berry fruity kind of smoothie (I know I am!), while other times you just want that potent-taste-filled-with-lots-of-greens-smoothie to essentially offer you a kick start to your day.

Today's smoothie is a vegetable based one. I know a lot of people are vegan or try to eat a minimal amount of animal products for health or morality purposes. Whatever the reason may be, here is a fabulously tasty smoothie to get you going on a weekday (or weekend) morning. Here is the simple recipe:

Very Veggie Vegan Smoothie
Serves 1

- 1/2 tomato
- 1-2 stalks of celery
- 1 handful spinach
- 1 clove garlic (strong taste yet effective for energy)
- 1/4 cup of water (you could use more or less depending on your preferred consistency of the smoothie. If you want a thick based smoothie use less water but if you want a thin based one, use more.)

Blend up all your ingredients in a blender and serve :)

Enjoy!

Simple Fall Breakfast Recipe

Hi Lovely!

Breakfast is the foundation of your day, so that means that you want to start out the day with something that is great for the immune system. I generally use Organic products when I can get them, since they have are best quality food. Here's one of my fun breakfast ideas which takes no time to make yet contains lots of antioxidants and active cultures (probiotics). Plus, it tastes amazing!

First I pour some Kefir  into a glass and add a handful of blueberries and half a banana, sliced. Plain is the best flavor to get as there are no added artificial sugars. (Click here for great Kefir options)

If you want some added sweet flavor, you can add 1 or 2 dried prunes (plums). It is great for alleviating constipation and it just tastes like a candy bar!

Then I make 1 or 2 eggs (cooked for 5 min) and eat them with a tiny bit of REAL butter (Click here for places to buy Real Irish Butter) and a 1/4 or less of a teaspoon of Celtic Sea Salt. (Click here for places to buy Celtic Salt)

Enjoy :)

Memorial Weekend Inspiration

 Memorial Day Weekend

What is Memorial Day anyway? We celebrate it every year, school and work is off, and we enjoy some family fun. But sales aside, what's the actual history behind it all? Well, as we salute every American hero on this day who served in the United States Armed Forces, we remain truly grateful as American citizens.
Today specifically, we remember that the men and women who support us fight for us. So on this day every year, we commemorate the soldiers who died in the Civil War and beyond. Let us come together in support and honor the great work that the military service continuously provides for us, including safety, freedom, and peace! The traditional observance
on Memorial Day is the raised United States Flag  and then it respectively lowers until noon. It represents the process during the day, and through this process, we respect and remember the millions of both men and women who gave their lives to the service of their country. Let us participate, and honor and rise as we realize what the American Flag stands for: liberty and justice for all.

Weekend Quote: Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.

Weekend Thought: We have different ideas of soul mates. Sometimes we obsess over the ideal form, but that's irrelevant. The main thing that a soul mate should provide for us is a better "us". A better you, a better me. That's it, simply. The person makes you a better person and you him. It's a give and take, equally. It is magical though, because the feeling of being your true self and someone not only validating it but enhancing it is all we need from someone. To help us grow, reach our wisdom, and make the world a better place should bring us peace at the end of the day.

Weekend To-Do: To do good and feel good you must take the first steps to acquire success. These steps are based on your desires to achieve your dreams. Remember, there is no competition, only progress to be completed. Take action ❤

A delicious weekend breakfast! This french toast is yummy and satisfying, with cheese, a bit of whole butter, and a sizzle of maple syrup!

Dear diary

"Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success."

Easier said than done, I contest that these wise words are truly a valuable imaginary keepsake for every individual to contain.

Word of the day is: nictitate. It means to wink.
Americans are commonly known for their keen, unique, rapid lifestyles. Always on the go, we conceptualize and in turn physically act upon everything quickly. Whether that be fashion, business, or politics, the art of speaking deserves as much effort as the former categories require.
There are college courses specifically devoted to teaching pure public speaking. This is essentially a skill, one that requires effort, time, and practice. Reading daily correlates positively with a broader vocabulary, and an increased intellect. Ultimately, reading anything and everything is simply suggested. Newspapers, books, articles, catalogs, novels, maps, etc., all vastly contribute to our vocabulary and impact our way of communicating with others. It benefits each and everyone in a way that increases knowledge, wisdom, and understanding for all.

Weekend after Thanksgiving: Family Outing

Watching tv, just ate breakfast, studying psychology. Yesterday was freezing but nice out. Me and my family went out to a farmers market and bought delicious fresh fruit. Among the delectable Fuji apples, hot apple cider, apple plain donuts, scallops, french baguettes, and apple muffins were all purchased as well. We proceeded to take a walk in a park even though it was breezy and chilly out.
Listening to Taylor Swift I knew you were Trouble and Charlie Chaplin theme songs.
A soul mate is more like a mirror, showing you ways to be a better person and vice verse.

Starbucks is looking festive and holiday-esq these days. Coming in, I see all of the colorful treats including peppermint covered almonds and dazzling coffee mugs. The Christmas tree adds a final touch to the traditional holiday season.
These chocolates are uniquely woven in various shapes intended for creativity purposes. This does, indeed, attract attention from the customers.
The cute little fox is a symbol, obviously, but not sure what to make of it. These flavors of coffee seem delicious! We have peppermint mocha and gingerbread latte. Take your pick of choice, or stand around and inhale the sweet aroma while you enjoy some classical holiday music being played, in almost any Starbucks location.
Christmas would not be complete without the trimmings:the trimmings of the shelves, of course! These ornaments (green decorations and little golden balls) hanging around the food implicitly dress up the occasion and present a more vividly ornate appeal to the roving eye that passes by.
