Leaky Gut leads to allergies*
Diets matter
So, these days we have a high carbohydrate/sugar based diet. All of the
chemicals we are ingesting into ourselves affects our health long term.
Therefore, it's important to take control and feed our bodies with the right
kind of nutrition that would create beneficial results.
Leaky gut syndrome- as atypical as this term may seem,
it is highly typical among our population these days.
Dr. Oz
talked about it on his show and made it clear that it is concurrent and also a
direct result of our diets.
Food intolerance, allergies, rashes, fatigue, gas, bloating, parasites, a high
sugar diet, and eczema are all symptoms of leaky gut. The underlying cause of
this is the overgrowth of yeast due to the high sugar diets. Thus, the immune
system is struggling to remain strong within the civil war that occurs in the
blood. The barrier is cut from the intestinal lining of the gut; this creates a
separation from the gut to the bloodstream.
To find out if you have leaky gut syndrome so that you can start taking the
best measures to inhibit future yeast overgrowth incidences, take the
intestinal
permeability test. This test will essentially demonstrate any
presence of substances getting through intestines that should not get through.
Getting healthy begins with the first step of acknowledgement, take it!
So, ready to begin cleaning up those intestines? Remember, it's no easy
quick fix. It requires dedication and consistency. First,
remove
all of the things harming your intestinal permeability: gluten, dairy, refined
sugars, N SAID, and nightshades-tomatoes.
Next,
replace foods that act as
laxatives:
probiotic supplements, pickled veggies, and sauerkraut.
Finally, time to
repair your intestines with:
omega-3 rich foods and
glutamine powder (increases
function of cells in intestines).
Chromium Polynicotinate
(niacin B3) regulates blood sugar. Whole grain has some chromium, but not
enough. This supplement regulates insulin function. In addition, it also
regulates cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, and weight control. Taking
this supplement also increases muscle gain, making it easier for you to gain
strength. As chromium stabilizes insulin and regulates blood sugar, this
converts to energy.
Instructions
- Remove all
of the foods causing Leaky Gut, such as carbohydrates and sugar.
- Replace
foods to smooth over your intestinal lining such as like laxatives
(probiotics).
- Repair
your intestinal lining with good sources of nutrition like glutamine
powder and chromium.
Having leaky gut may be different for each person as it is based on each persons immune system in terms of what's good for you(some dairy) may not be so good for someone else (dairy/lactose intolerant).
Interesting concept: An important factor to realize would initially be to understand the strong gut-brain correlation. This is more or less a new idea in that before this was not totally accepted/understood at all. If you go to a psychologist and tell him or her that you are depressed they would see it as a possible deficiency of serotonin in the brain and they would prescribe some medication. However, a gut specialist would first want to rule out any possible digestion problems, because based on the severity the gut may be so inflamed that it can decrease the amount of serotonin that the brain produces. Taking a complete GI stool test with a functional doctor would be ideal to find out the root of the problem and begin the path to healing. So in fixing your gut(which is a long but much needed process) you will be fixing your depression.
